Welcome to the Churnet Valley Male Voice Choir Website

We hope it will be of interest to you. If you enjoy singing, why not come along on Tuesday evenings. See about us for details.

Formed in 1993, the choir has given in excess of 200 performances in the Staffordshire Moorlands and
beyond. It is a non-competitive choir, members taking part for the sheer pleasure of singing.

Most concerts help to raise funds for local churches, chapels, charities and other worthy causes and this is an aspect of choir life from which members derive much pleasure and satisfaction.

The choir does not charge a fee but is pleased to accept a donation to help with expenses.

As mentioned elsewhere on the website, the choir practice each Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in
the hall of Bishop Rawle School, Cheadle, Staffs. New members are always welcome.

Over the years the choir has developed a definite family feel, with many communal events organised during the year. We usually kick off  to a good start by having  our own New Year festivity, and we also enjoy an Annual Dinner sometime in the Autumn.

Projects in past years have included trips to Germany for joint concerts with the male voice choir of Mitterteich in Bavaria, and our Annual Concerts in Cheadle which have raised a considerable amount of money for local charities.
